Podcasts for Canadian Centrists and Conservatives (Part Two)
This is the second in a series of blog posts, where I discuss Canadian podcasts that you might want to follow, if you are interested in politics but want to balance out the overly left-leaning Canadian discussion. Part one can be found here.
Please reach out to me if you have any recommendations for podcast that would be good to add to this list!

The Curious Task
Weekly | 30mins – 60mins. Audio only
Put out by The Institute for Liberal Studies, whose mandate is “encouraging the discussion of classical liberal ideas in Canada.” The name of the podcast comes from a Friedrich Hayek passage:
“The curious task of economics is to demonstrate to men how little they really know about what they imagine they can design.”
What I like: That they used a Hayek quote for their name and that they cover topics from a classical liberalism perspective. It can be a bit academic at times, but that’s not a bad thing, especially if you want to understand the liberal tradition more deeply.

The Agenda
Daily | 22mins. Audio & Video
Produced by TVO, and hosted by Steve Paikin, a seasoned pro who takes being non-partisan very seriously. He does his best to present issues in a balanced way so that centrists, centre-right and centre-left types will find content of value.
What I like: A focus on Canadian issues. Great guests and panel discussions on a wide variety of local and national topics. Excellent host (Steve Paikin).

The Munk Debates
Daily | 22mins. Audio & Video
Launched in 2008, they host mainstage debates in Toronto, Canada on the big issues of the day, from climate to the global economy to political correctness to the future of democracy.
What I like: They were one of the first Canadian podcasts where you could hear genuine diversity of thought and opinion. Rudyard Griffiths brings his own personality to hosting and can be quite passionate and a contrarian at times. Love it.
